Sunday Meditation

2nd Sunday 4:00 pm – Calm your mind. Ease your emotions. Sooth your soul. During this monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care meditation session you’ll develop mindfulness techniques, breath practices, and an awareness of the importance of being present in the moment. Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation where you’ll experience a state between sleeping and waking. The body is completely relaxed through a guided meditation. and expands the individual’s self-awareness. Registration is Required.

Sunday Meditation (1)

3rd Sunday 4:00 pm – This monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care yoga especially designed to help those recovering from eating disorders or body image issues. However, other recovering addicts are more than welcome to join this small group. This monthly class will explore The Eight Limbs of Yoga along with principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. Registration is Required,

Restorative

4th Sunday 4:00 pm – This monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care class typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Poses are held 5 minutes or more, and include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. Most restorative practices are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. Class will end with a guided Yoga Nidra to help promote even deeper rest. All levels welcome, but registration is required.

Kindalini Yoga

Monday 11:30 – In Kundalini Yoga, taught by Claudia, we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technique precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. Postures, Pranayama, Practices

Monday 1:00 pm – This class includes practices from Ayurveda, Yoga’s Sister Science, and from Traditional Chinese Medicine to help bring balance and healing into all the layers of your being through asana, mudra, meditation, nutrition and healthy lifestyle tips. There may also be discussion of Deity/God/Goddess, Chakras, Moon Phases, and Quotes from Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita. Registration is Required.

True Beginner Hatha Yoga

Monday 5:30 pm – This alignment based class is perfect for the true beginner who isn’t quite yet comfortable joining in with a mixed level class. Focus is on fundamental poses, using props to explore different variations. Registration is Required.

Tuesday 12:00 pm & Friday 10:30 am – This class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine, penetrating deep into the connective tissues. Yin Yoga is for you if you are tired, over-stimulated, when your energy is too erratic, your mind overactive, whether you are craving for energy or you feel you have too much of it. Thursday 9:00 am – This invigorating Vinyasa yoga class is inspired by principles of Tantra, Ayurveda, Bhakti, and Somatics.
It is meant to build internal heat, increase stamina, strength, and flexibility, as well as promote stress reduction. All levels are welcome, but registration is required.

Yoga for Overall Health (2)

Thursday 12:30 pm – This class includes a short, gentle yoga asana practice to help prepare your body for coming into stillness. Various styles of meditation will be explored. No experience necessary. This class is for those who desire better health and improved mood, as well as for those who wish to withdraw inward to develop a deeper relationship with his or her true nature. There will be opportunity to share and discuss experiences within the meditation community. Registration is Required.

Yoga for Back Care

Thursday 6:00 pm – This is an especially gentle yoga class to help recover from back injury and/or restore spinal health. If you are under the care of a PT, Orthopedic Care Provider or other Pain Specialist and would like to integrate a holistic approach to healing, this is the yoga class for you. Practices may be modified for each individual by implementing the use of props or by sitting in a chair. Registration is Required.

Yoga for Overall Health (4)

Friday 12:45 – Jen teaches this yoga class for bodies of all shapes and sizes for those new to yoga or wanting a basic flow class. This class implements poses and modifications for a curvier form and introduces fundamental yoga postures, teaches how to breathe and helps you feel more comfortable in your yoga practice. Jen stresses “You don’t have to have a “yoga body” to benefit from yoga.” Join us in the judgement-free yoga zone. Registration is Required.
