1st Sunday 4:00 pm – This monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care class focuses on the grieving heart using yoga and other mindfulness techniques to gently move through heartbreak with love and support. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

2nd Sunday 4:00 pm – Calm your mind. Ease your emotions. Sooth your soul. During this monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care meditation session you’ll develop mindfulness techniques, breath practices, and an awareness of the importance of being present in the moment. Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation technique and a form of meditation where you’ll experience a state between sleeping and waking. The body is completely relaxed through a guided meditation. and expands the individual’s self-awareness. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

3rd Sunday 4:00 pm – This is a monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care yoga class especially designed to help those recovering from eating disorders or body image issues. However, other recovering addicts are more than welcome to join this small group. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

Restorative Yoga

4th Sunday 4:00 pm – This monthly Karma Sunday Self-Care class typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Poses are held 5 minutes or more, and include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle backbends. Most restorative practices are based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar. Class will end with a guided Yoga Nidra to help promote even deeper rest. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

Yin Yang

Monday 11:00 am – We need to incorporate both active and passive elements for a balanced yoga practice. Yin Yang Yoga blends two yoga styles into one practice, combining the benefits of passively held yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. Yin is a slow practice where poses are passively held for several minutes, working on the body’s deep, dense connective tissue and joints.. In contrast, Yang Yoga is a more active practice, working on muscles, blood flow, building strength, stamina and flexibility. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

Yin Yoga

Tuesday 12:30 pm & Wednesday 8:00 pm – This class consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses that mainly work the lower part of the body—the hips, pelvis, inner thighs, lower spine, penetrating deep into the connective tissues. Yin Yoga is for you if you are tired, over-stimulated, when your energy is too erratic, your mind overactive, whether you are craving for energy or you feel you have too much of it. Restorative Yoga Claudia

Tuesday 5:30 pm & Friday 6:30 pm – Restorative yoga uses long held resting poses supported by props and encourages us to release unnecessary tension in the body and mind. This way, cultivating the skill of conscious relaxation. The combination of breath with the quietness of restorative yoga poses, stimulates a neurological response, of relax and digest mode, which initiates the body’s self healing process. We live life always being on the go and worrying over the to do list. In this class we will learn to let the body and the mind unwind, renew, befriend, and better our wellness and comfort with our bodies. Claudia leads this class which is a combination of pranayama (the practice of breath control), and restorative yoga poses to effectively decrease stress. Kundalini

Wednesday 5:30 pm – In Kundalini Yoga, taught by Claudia, we harness the mental, physical, and nervous energies of the body and put them under the domain of the will, which is the instrument of the soul. This technique precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye -focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

True Beginner's

Thursday 5:15 pm – This alignment based class is for the beginner who isn’t quite yet comfortable joining in with a mixed level class. We focus on fundamental poses, using props to explore different variations, while at the same time developing a new level of body awareness and connection to breath. Here we realize that our bodies are uniquely made and begin to understand that yoga is more than a one size fits all type of exercise, but instead it’s a unique, holistic practice tailored to each person who comes to the mat. Thursday 6:30 pm – This traditional BKS Iyengar inspired class incorporates Sun Salutations, focuses on alignment and includes mudra, pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. Props are encouraged to help students of all levels access the greatest benefits of yoga. This class encourages practitioners to take their yoga off the mat. Grounding Yoga Flow

Saturday 9:30 am – This gentle yoga class is lead by Rachel and focuses on bringing balance into the root chakra. You will be given the option to stay or quietly exit the studio at the last half hour as the practice of Yoga Nidra begins. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.
