Yin Yang

Monday 11:00 am – We need to incorporate both active and passive elements for a balanced yoga practice. Yin Yang Yoga blends two yoga styles into one practice, combining the benefits of passively held yoga poses with more dynamic sequences and standing postures. Yin is a slow practice where poses are passively held for several minutes, working on the body’s deep, dense connective tissue and joints.. In contrast, Yang Yoga is a more active practice, working on muscles, blood flow, building strength, stamina and flexibility. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.

True Beginner's

Thursday 5:15 pm – This alignment based class is for the beginner who isn’t quite yet comfortable joining in with a mixed level class. We focus on fundamental poses, using props to explore different variations, while at the same time developing a new level of body awareness and connection to breath. Here we realize that our bodies are uniquely made and begin to understand that yoga is more than a one size fits all type of exercise, but instead it’s a unique, holistic practice tailored to each person who comes to the mat. Alignment

TBD – Just as all our classes at Prakrti Yoga are unique, yet true to tradition, this one is no different. What makes this class so inspiring is the way in which Claudia draws on her own experienced practices in both Hatha & Kundalini Styles and fuses them together to create her own special way of presenting teachings of the great teachers who came before us. Yoga for flexibility and awareness has much more to do with the physical body and more to do with the subtle changes that happen deep within Self. Registration is required and remains open one hour prior to class.
